2020 Chevrolet Silverado HD Finally Eligible For Popular Discount

Earlier this month we learned that Costco members interested in purchasing a new GM vehicle through theCostco Auto Programdiscovered the program not only did not include the all-new 2020Chevrolet Corvettebut also the redesigned 2020 Silverado HD. Today, however, we have some good news thanks to a report fromCarsDirect. While the Corvette still remains ineligible for the brand's annual Costco discount, a bulletin just sent to Chevy dealerships states that all versions of the2020 Silverado 2500and3500now qualify for GM Supplier Pricing along with up to a $700 warehouse cash card when purchasing through the Costco Auto Program.

If you're in the market for a big truck with serious towing and payload capabilities then this is one heck of a sweet deal. For example, a Silverado 3500HD 4x4 Crew Cab powered by the optional 6.6-liter turbo diesel V8 has an MSRP of $54,260.

With this newly launched discount, customers can save up to $2,995. Chevy is not currently offering any additional incentives on either truck at this time, so the Costco program is, for now, the best deal in town.

Both HD trucks only went on sale this past summer, so it's not surprising the automaker hasn't offered major incentives just yet. Both trucks appeal to customers with very specific needs, such as up to 910 lb-ft of torque and a towing capability of up to 35,500 lbs, depending on the configuration. For the foreseeable future, both HD trucks will remain part of the Costco program.

Now, back to the 2020 Corvette: it's not even in dealerships yet so how can it be eligible for the Costco program? In fact, Corvette production has reportedly been slightly delayed due to the now resolved GM strike, so it could take some additional time for units to arrive on dealership lots.
