The two Maserati Grecale trims share similar specs - both are equipped with a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine, standard AWD, and an eight-speed automatic transmission. No other powertrain configurations are offered on the regular Grecale trim levels, only on the Trofeo (V6) and Folgore (fully electric). Power and performance specifications also read similarly, with both engines developing 332 lb-ft of torque, although the Modena's is more powerful - 325 hp vs the GT's 296 hp. Standard features on the base GT include 19-inch alloys, all-LED exterior lighting, a power liftgate, leather upholstery, power front seats, and dual-zone climate control.
Driver assists are few and only include parking sensors front and rear, automatic headlights, rain-sensing wipers, and forward-collision warning. You need to move up to the next trim to get heated front seats with 12-way electric adjustment, a power sunroof, larger wheels, and adaptive suspension. You need to resort to the various package selections to add options such as adaptive cruise control, blind-spot monitoring, and lane-keep assist. At least all trims get the same comprehensive dual 12.3-inch displays, smartphone mirroring, navigation, and a premium audio system.
Two levels of additional driver assists can be added to the GT via the more basic $1,300 Driver Assistance package (blind-spot monitoring and active lane-keep assist, adaptive cruise control with stop & go, and driver-alertness monitoring) or the more comprehensive $3,100 Driver Assistance Plus package (everything in the basic package plus speed-limit assist, traffic-sign recognition, intersection-collision assistance, and Active Driving Assistant). Even the Modena is devoid of any of these features but only has access to the more comprehensive package. Optional on the GT and standard on the Modena is the $2,000 Handling package with adaptive Skyhook suspension, a limited-slip differential, Inox Sport pedals, and gloss-black brake calipers.
The oddly named $1,100 Techssistance package adds a wireless charging pad and a head-up display to either trim. The GT's $5,500 Premium package adds premium leather, heated and cooled front seats, a sunroof, and a heated steering wheel. The GT's Premium Plus Package (everything in the Premium package plus tri-zone climate control, heated rear seats, open-pore Radica wood trim, and a 21-speaker Sonus Faber audio system) costs $8,700. These packages are cheaper on the Modena, which already has some of these features.
