年代everal other replica movie cars commissioned by the late actor collection are also being auctioned.

Earlier this month the world said goodbye to legendary actor Burt Reynolds, whosadly passed away at age 82. Gearheads will, of course, remember Reynolds for his starring roles in Smokey and the Bandit and Cannonball Run, so it's fitting that The Burt Reynolds Institute for Film and Theatre has now announced several replica cars owned by the late actor will be going up for sale at the Barrett Jackson auction at the Mandalay Bay Resort in Las Vegas on September 29th.

One of the cars heading to auction 1978 Pontiac Trans Am, which is instantly recognizable thanks to its distinctiveblack and gold livery replicating the famous Black Banditfrom the films. While it isn't an original car that was used for filming the Smokey and the Bandit films, it belonged in Reynolds' personal collection. According to theauction listing, Reynolds had the car commissioned to be as "movie-correct as possible" while incorporating new creature comforts.

The car features a custom-built four-speed automatic transmission, a rebuilt 6.5-liter V8 engine equipped with Butler Performance parts, and new air-conditioning components. The dashboard has also been signed by the late actor. If you want to feel like the Bandit behind the wheel, this is the closest you're going to get without tracking down the original movie cars.

This wasn't the only replica movie car Reynolds had commissioned, because a 1978 Pontiac Firebird designed to resemble the car he drove in the 1978 film Hooper is also heading to the same auction. Under the hood is a 6.6-liter V8 engine mated to a three-speed automatic transmission.

There is also a 1987 Chevrolet crew cab pickup going up for grabs, which Reynolds commissioned to look like the Indy Hauler he drove in The Cannonball Run. It features an 8.1-liter V8 engine with FiTech fuel injection and a four-speed automatic transmission, as well as modern comforts such as air conditioning, power steering and power brakes.

Finally, another Trans Am is also being auctioned, which was used to promote Reynolds' United States Football League team called the Tampa Bay Bandits. It has a 5.0-liter V8 engine and a three-speed automatic transmission. The car was also recently restored and has only been driven 65,000 miles.
