Volkswagen Atlas Cross Sport Gets Rugged Body Kit And New Wheels From Basecamp Line

The Basecamp accessory line is now available for the Atlas Cross Sport having been previously exclusive to the bigger VW Atlas.

Volkswagen is expanding its Basecamp accessory line, introducing custom body kit elements and distinctive wheels tailored for the一个tlas Cross Sport.

Drawing inspiration from the innovative一个tlas Basecamp concept vehicle, these new components are poised to elevate the adaptability and ruggedness of the entire Atlas family.

The Basecamp accessory line is available as standalone purchases or as a comprehensive kit, designed to dress the Atlas Cross Sport with an overland-ready aesthetic. Furthermore, the accessory range comes with off-road-inspired wheels that promise enhanced versatility when paired with all-terrain tires.

"In response to the growing demand for SUVs with rugged visual appeal, we are committed to providing accessory options that enable customers and dealers to personalize their Volkswagen SUVs. Expanding the Basecamp line to encompass the Atlas Cross Sport, alongside the Atlas andTaos Basecampstyling program, was a natural step forward," said Petar Danilovic, senior vice president of product marketing and strategy at Volkswagen of America.

Manufactured by Air Design, the Basecamp styling package includes a two-tone textured black and satin silver front valance, textured matte black flares featuring integrated splash guards, satin silver side door rocker panels, and a satin silver rear valance with trailer hitch access.

Of note, the styling package is unsuitable for models lacking a trailer hitch and incompatible with R-Line trims andPeak Edition models. The complete Atlas kit comes with exclusive front quarter-panel-mounted Basecamp badges, not available separately and not intended for use with Atlas Cross Sport models.

The full Basecamp styling kit for the Atlas is priced at an MSRP of $2,650. For those who prefer to mix and match, individual accessory MSRPs are as follows: front valance at $680, rear valance at $680, side door skid plates at $769, and fender flares at $645.

Both accessory lines also feature the 17-inch Traverse MX wheels, specially crafted for Volkswagen by fifteen52. These wheels are offered in two colors: frosted graphite and radiant silver, each priced at $315. Volkswagen of America suggests pairing them with 245/70R17 all-terrain tires to optimize the design and enhance performance.
