All Kona models receive a bumper design that isdevoid of the traditional radiator grille. But for the EV, you'll find futuristic diamond-like LED pixel detailing on the lower bits of the front fascia, continuing the tradition of its predecessor. This is also where you'll find the charge port, and the color-coded components contribute to the more minimalistic look. This is carried over to the sides of the vehicle, where you'll find the EV lacks the chunky black wheel arch cladding seen on regular Konas.

Inside, it's a classy affair. Hyundai has elevated the Kona's cabin to the next level, and one could argue that it borders on premium now. The sporty three-spoke steering wheel is devoid of any Hyundai branding; in the place of a traditional logo, you'll find four dots on the steering wheel boss, a feature shared with theIoniq 5.

Speaking of the retro EV, the Kona Electric's interior takes inspiration from its bigger brother.

You'll find dual screens for the driver's display and infotainment system, along with a fuss-free dashboard. The infotainment system will include several nice-to-haves, including connected car Navigation Cockpit (ccNC), which Hyundai describes as a smart mobility experience.

Unlike many electric vehicles, the Kona Electric has a traditional center console, meaning it can't match the feeling or airiness provided by some rivals. Some concessions must be made when an EV and an ICEV share major components. Equipment levels should be strong, though, with the video showing us climate control, wireless charging, ambient lighting, and more.

The cargo area appears to hold three large suitcases, but Hyundai has said the Kona offers up to 25.5 cubic feet of packing space with the rear bench folded flat.

It's shaping up to be a very practical little crossover. Hopefully, Hyundai can get the pricing right. If it can undercut the Ioniq 6 and Ioniq 5, we may be getting yet another well-priced EV this year.
