This is one of the most track-focused Porsches ever made.

If you've been in the market for an ultra-rare Porsche track weapon, it's your lucky day because aGT2 RS Clubsport 25 Mantheyhas just come up for sale on the UK auction sitePistonHeads. Announced in 2021 to honor the 25th anniversary of Manthey-Racing GmbH, this is one of the finest track-focused Porkers to date, and that's taking into consideration therecently unveiled 911 GT3 R Rennsport.

Manthey-Racing's pedigree is truly astounding. Started by Olaf Manthey in 1996, the company has amassed four Le Mans victories, seven 24 Hours of Nurburgring wins, and even helped Porsche to establish the Nurburgring production lap record in 2021 behind the wheel of a911 GT2 RS. The company is so good at what it does that Porsche acquired it in 2013 before making it a full motorsport partner in 2021. The GT2 RS Clubsport 25 Manthey was the first fruit of that partnership, and man is it sweet.

The car is based onthe 2018 911 GT2 RS Clubsport. That model, limited to just 200 units, wasn't deemed extreme enough, and Manthey got to work fixing that. Power wasn't seen as the issue since it still features the 700-horsepower 3.8-liter twin-turbo flat-six engine and seven-speed PDK gearbox sending power to the rear wheels, but aero and cooling were the main offenders.

Manthey took to completely redesigning the front end for improved cooling and more downforce. A centrally-mounted radiator offers improved engine cooling and, in conjunction with the large carbon splitter and canards, allows for the removal of two radiators on either side of the grille, just like in the currentGT3 RS. You now get brake cooling ducts and deep vents on the carbon hood that send air over the vehicle to the wing and to the NACA duct that supplies air to the cabin as well.

The wheels and suspension are then borrowed from the935 Racer unveiled a few years ago, meaning you get 18-inch center-locking wheels, but this time without the aero covers. The underbody is completely sealed off for better aerodynamics, and this flows into the rear where the wing now features revised mounts for better airflow as well as more venting to improve engine cooling. A new diffuser ensures that you'll stay stuck to the road, and a better exhaust means you'll sound great doing it.

This one-owner vehicle is number 19 of 30 (why there are more than 25, we'll never know) and only features 186 miles on the odometer. It comes with two sets of wheels and also features a steering wheel that's been signed by Olaf Manthey and Porsche factory driver Kevin Estre. When new, it sold for €525,000 ($637,234 at today's rates), but rest assured, these things only go up in price, so it should sell much closer to the million-dollar mark.
