Ultra-Rare Mercedes-Maybach S680 Gets Slammed On 22-Inch Bronze Wheels

TheMercedes-Maybach S-Classis one of the most exclusive luxury sedans money can buy. But if you want something even more unique, you could try to get your hands on one of the150 Maybach by Virgil Abloh special editions. Still not unique enough? Well, perhaps you should pay a visit to Atlanta-based Road Show International.

The company has created what it calls the "RS Edition," which is a subtly enhanced version of this rare Maybach. To start, Road Show International has removed the stock wheels, replacing them with RS 22-inch alloys that have been powder-coated in bronze. This matches the ebullient two-tone paintwork and lends the S680 a more flamboyant look.

Unusually, for a luxury sedan, the high-end dealer has decided to lower the suspension by 0.8 inches. It would be interesting to see if this impedes the Maybach's velvety ride.

It's not the first time we've seen this, though, as Spofec recently presented a tuned Rolls-Royce Phantom with a 1.57-inch lower suspension and 24-inch wheels.

一个side from that, the rest of the refinements are more subtle. The trunk lid-mounted Maybach logo is now illuminated which, depending on your tastes, could be tacky or tasteful. Road Show International has also treated the exterior light clusters to a smoked effect, which looks rather neat. Tinted windows will prevent prying eyes from looking into the rear cabin, while a ceramic paint coating package will keep the rich paint looking fresh.

The company has made no mention of performance upgrades, but the standard V12 is powerful enough for most needs. With 621 horsepower and 664 lb-ft of torque, your chauffeur will be able to transport you around in silence and serenity.
