It definitely looks larger than the regular Highlander.
The first-ever2024 Toyota Grand Highlanderwill officially make its debut next week at the 2023 Chicago Auto Show, and Toyota has onlygiven us a brief glimpseof the car so far. While the previous teaser only showed the Grand Highlander's exterior, this new image provides the first look a the second and third row seating.
Though there is only a single image, it gives a ton of detail about what to expect from the Grand Highlander. This appears to be a higher trim model with captain's chairs in the second row and a panoramic moonroof above it. We can't see how the second captain's chair is folded forward, but we assume it is a slide-and-tip mechanism like the standardHighlander.
The juicer details lie in the third row, where leg and headroom look significantlylarger than the Highlander, fixing one of that car's biggest flaws. This is evident by the grown man fitting comfortably in the seat without his head touching the roof or his knees being crushed by the second-row captain's chairs. That being said, the image could be slightly deceiving given that the second-row occupant is a child sitting in a car seat, meaning the captain's chair could be slid forward.
From this one picture alone we can spot multiple cupholders and storage on each side, climate vents in the second and third rows, as well as USB ports in the third row. Like we said, that's a lot of detail in one photo.
至于外观,我们只看到一个模糊的照片of the rear end, where the Grand Highlander looks slightly more upscale than the standard Highlander. Under the hood will sit Toyota's Hybrid Max system, which is currently available in the Crown. It produces 340 horsepower and 400 lb-ft of torque from a 2.4-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine mated to a six-speed automatic transmission. For reference, the non-hybrid Highlander only produces 265 hp.
Toyota will reveal the Grand Highlander on February 8, 2023.
