Toyota Made A Trailer Out Of A Tacoma Bumper

The TRD-Sport Trailer looks like someone chopped the back off a Tacoma and filled it with Overlanding goodies. Toyota equipped the trailer with a remote-operated scissor-lift that raises several feet from the truck bed. On top of the lift, eager Overlanders can set up a Yakima four-person tent with an awning to sleep in. The lift also includes fly fishing-pole holders so that owners can enjoy some fishing from up there.

Toyota added plenty of other great camping features too. The TRD-Sport Trailer includes a built-in toilet, trash can, refrigerator, water heater, water holding tanks, slide-out sink and stove, and campsite lighting.

Like the standard bed of a Tacoma, the TRD-Sport Trailer even includes a special sticker on the side. This being a SEMA build, there's no guarantee that Toyota will put the TRD-Sport trailer into production. There is no estimated price, as this was a one-off build specifically for the show.

Perhaps if Toyota gets enough interest from customers, it could offer a limited production run of these trailers. Plymouth was crazy enough to offer the Prowler trailer as a $5,000 option, so maybe Toyota will actually sell this funky creation. And even if it's not on a separate trailer, there's no reason why all of this equipment couldn't fit in the normal bed of a Tacoma or Tundra.
