Any guesses?

Production of the2020 Chevrolet Corvette Stingrayends this month, and with no more time to make changes to 2020 orders, it's been fascinating to unpack how customers ordered the Corvette in its first full year on sale. Based on data shared by the National Corvette Museum, we already know what themost popular C8looked like. After this, we found outwhere Corvettes were shippedto besides local sales.

But what about some of the more unpopular choices? Well, of the 20,368 units of the 2020 Corvette that were ordered, a mere 31 of those customers ticked the box for a personalized vehicle identification number (VIN) - this option costs a whopping $5,000.

That represents just 0.2 percent of all Corvette buyers and makes this one of the least popular options for the C8. Of course, any VIN is useful when signing up your vehicle at a new insurance company or if it needs to be identified for any reason, such as when a recall is issued.

When thepersonalized VIN optionis ticked, customers can't choose the entire 17-digit number, but they can select the last five digits. For those 31 buyers, it's a chance to use those five numbers for anything of personal significance, be it a specific date or perhaps a birthday.

Combined with anotherCorvette optionto have a personalized interior plaque with the VIN number displayed on it, this could be an awesome way to make your C8 feel truly unique, especially if you intend to keep the car for a significant amount of time.

为客户tomers who have yet to order their 2021 Corvette, you could end up with something exceedingly rare by choosing the VIN option, yellow interior stitching (chosen by just 2.5 percent of 2020 buyers), and the Zeus Bronze exterior paint (2.7%). Dark Shadow metallic vents, meanwhile, were chosen by a mere 0.8% of customers. It'll be interesting to see if 2021 customers end up making similar choices when the numbers are tallied up in about a year from now.
