This Is When Ford F-150 Lightning Orders Will Open

Earlier this month, a dealership report suggested theorder books will open on October 26th. Contradicting this, aCarBuzzreader was recently told by their local Ford dealer that F-150 Lightning ordersmay not start until 2022. So, when will the order books really open?

Ford hasn't announced a date yet, but a member of theF150Gen14forum claims to know the answer. According to the forum member, orders for the F-150 Lightning will start on October 26th after all. If you need proof, a screenshot from a Ford dealer's internal system confirms the order start date.

An official announcement from Ford should be imminent. With the order opening in just a few weeks, the online configurator for the F-150 Lightning should go live soon too, allowing customers to select their desired exterior, interior, package, and accessory options. Pricing for the entry-level F-150 Lightning starts at $39,974, while the Platinum trim will cost at least $90,474.
