This 911 Turbo Is A Classic And A Beauty, But This Price Is Bonkers

The Porsche pricing epidemic continues.

Porsche fevercontinues to gripthe world's auto markets, making prices on all things air-cooled, turbo-charged and three-pedaled really damn expensive. No values to be had here; it's pure inflated infatuation. Stuttgart must be smiling: This Porsche Exclusive 1997 993 Turbo S is no exception at, wait for it, $795,000. Yes really. For comparison a standard 993 Turbo settles around $150,000-$170,000 on eBay, while a Turbo S will net between $350,000-$400,000. So what do you get with that extra $300,000? Cool Paint, bodywork, and yellow seat backs.

No really, that's what you're getting for that extra cash. Okay, pedantry aside, the extra cash brings a one-of-one color combination of Cobalt Blue with a Midnight Blue interior, a specialized Aerokit including a 959-esque front spoiler, a four-tipped exhaust, a special rear spoiler, and most noticeably vented rear fenders. Fancy paint and bodywork alone do not justify the price tag. However, being built by Porsche Exclusive and being one of only 182 993 Turbo S models built in 1997 certainly helps. The 3.6-liter air-cooled flat-six churns out 450 horsepower and is mated to a six-speed manual. It also has all-wheel drive and this 993 comes fully documented with a one-owner history.

It also has only 17,917 miles on the odometer. Spending the majority of its life in the Seattle area, the seller assures that the previous owner "fastidiously" maintained this beauty and has in position all original documentation, including the window sticker. So is it worth this very considerable price? Maybe it is to you. If you have cash to burn then head on over to Park Place Ltd. and check this bad boy out. Maybe all that rain in Seattle has money growing on trees.
