These Are The Top 10 Interiors Of 2016

This year's list is dominated by luxury brands.

Wards Auto takes its interior awards very seriously. In fact, eight of its editors spent two months evaluating no less than 47 vehicles. To be eligible, the interior must be all-new or significantly redesigned. Factors taken into consideration include aesthetics and design harmony, materials, fit-and-finish, ergonomics, safety, comfort, and value (so nothing above $130k is on the list). The infotainment systems were also evaluated as was the user-friendliness of the "human-machine interface to see how effectively vehicle information is communicated."

Wherelast yearonly a trio of luxury models made the top ten list, this year it featured six luxury marques. However, that was primarily a result of so many new luxury models on the market, accounting for 19 of the 47 vehicles tested. Check out the winners below: Audi TTS ($58,500 as tested) BMW 7-Series ($129,245) Cadillac XT5 ($63,845) Chevrolet Camaro ($46,095) Chrysler Pacifica ($48,455) Honda Civic ($27,335) Lexus RX ($52,968) Mercedes-Benz GLC ($54,360) Nissan Maxima ($38,750) Volvo XC90 ($84,005)
