In the US, these models sell like crazy.

We have reached the half way point for car sales in 2016. As such, it is interesting to look back and see which models have dominated sales so far. Between January and June, the top 30 models in the US have accounted for half of the market, while 250 models make up the other half. That just goes to show how popular these models are. For example, the Ford F-Seriesoutsells every brandexcept Toyota, Chevrolet, Nissan, Honda, Jeep, and Ford itself. That's what we would call market domination.

在美国,trucks are an extremely popular class of vehicle. The top sellers in this category are theFord truck modelsF-Series (395,244 units), the Chevrolet Silverado (273,652 units), and the Dodge Ram (231,405). To no one's surprise, the Toyota Camry was the best selling car with 199,760 units sold. The Honda Civic came in second with 189,840 units and the Corolla rounded out third place with 182,193. On the SUV market, Toyota and Honda take the one-two again with the RAV4 (165,900 units) and the CR-V (159,075). Ford takes third place in SUV sales with the Escape (155,378). For vans, the sales leaders were the Ford Transit (78,480 units), Dodge Grand Caravan (71,523 units), and the Toyota Sienna (68,225).

On the luxury market, we can clearly see that SUVs and crossovers are starting totake over the market. The best selling luxury model in 2016 was the Lexus RX with 49,412 units sold. In second place, the Mercedes C-Class (37,305 units) benefited from the 3 Series being split into two models, the 3 and 4 Series. If these cars were one model, the third place 3 Series (32,976 units) would have outsold the C-Class. This list doesn't surprise us much, although we are a bit surprised that the Dodge Grand Caravan has done so well even with the Pacifica on the way.
