Buck teeth be gone!

When the new G8XBMW M3 SedanandM4 Coupefirst started showing their faces, the internet could not hold back its disgust at the size and shape of the new grilles. Various rendering artists quicklyturned their digital pens to the cars为了让他们看起来更好,和代理s tuning companies announced their intention to rectify the problem in the real world too. Now, another tuner has shown how to make the new front end less shocking, and production of the first prototype bumper is about to begin.

The design was created using 3D scanning to ensure that none of the car's cooling systems suffer as a result of the new look and to ensure that the stock hood lines up correctly. In keeping with the existing look of the car, the smaller kidney grilles remain frameless as they may look awkwardly small were they to adopt the bordered look of earlier M3s and M4s. To our mind, this redesign makes the car look like a baby M5 - no bad thing. In our opinion, the M4 looks way better than before but the M3 truly transforms into a beauty queen.

So when can you get one? Well, the tooling to create a new bumper from plastic and mass produce it is too expensive to justify as thousands would have to be sold for Evolve Automotive to recoup its investment. Thus, one prototype M3 bumper will be produced in more expensive carbon fiber and tested in the new year. If there is enough demand, the tuner will produce more examples in limited numbers. Considering how popular the M3 and M4 are despite their faces, we doubt that a sexier G8X M3 or M4 is likely to become a common sight.
