Teased: The All-New Lexus LX 600 Will Be Unveiled This Week

The 2022 Toyota Land Cruiser wasrevealed in June, and in typical fashion, demand has been high. Sadly, America is among the countries thatwon't be getting the luxury off-roader, but theLexus LXwill be sold here as a similar product with even more creature comforts. The Lexus model hasbeen delayed, and the Toyota version is constantly facing production issues thanks to supply problems, but progress has been made and Lexus has today teased the new LX and announced when the new arrival will be unveiled. It's the first clear look we've had of the SUV, and we see a gorgeous light arrangement with the two taillamps connected by a full-width LED strip framing the Lexus badge. We also see LX 600 badging, which confirms earlier reports that this modelwill be a new range-topperreplacing the previous generation's LX 570 designation. As is common these days, the reveal will take place online, but a physical reveal show is planned at the Museum of Contemporary Art "Garage" in Moscow, Russia.

We expect that the new LX 600 will use the Toyota Land Cruiser 300's turbocharged V6 that is paired with a 10-speed automatic transmission. In that vehicle, the V6 develops 409 horsepower and 479 lb-ft of torque, but we could be wrong and see the range-topping LX arrive with a twin-turbo V8. This is unlikely though, but for those who aren't interested in the top trim, leaked documents have revealed that there will be two LX 570 models too, with these likely to retain the 5.7-liter V8 of old. Toyota has ditched the V8 in the Land Cruiser, but Lexus is usually reluctant to give up on V8s, so we'll have to wait for next week Wednesday to find out the truth.
