TEASED: New Hardcore Lamborghini Huracan Evo Is Coming

A massive rear wing and diffuser dominate the rear end, while a roof-mounted scoop optimizes the airflow. The hardcore Huracan also appears to have redesigned headlights and taillights. We also get to hear its glorious-sounding, naturally-aspirated V10 as the mystery car tears up the track.

Since Squadra Corse worked on the road-legal Lamborghini Huracan STO, we're not expecting its latest creation to be road legal. Instead, this is most likely Lamborghini's new Huracan race car, but it's not clear which class it will race in. Currently, Lamborghini's Squadra Corse division races the Huracan in international GT3-class competitions and the one-make Super Trofeo series. Lamborghini also recently celebrated production of the400th Huracan GT3, so the new mystery track weapon could coincide with this milestone.

Powering theLamborghini Huracan Evo GT3is the same 5.2-liter naturally-aspirated V10 as its road car sibling. To meet GT3 regulations, the output is restricted to around 580 horsepower, but the new model could have more power on tap. If it isn't restricted by motorsport regulations, it should be considerably more powerful than the standard Huracan Evo road car, which is rated at 630 hp and 442 lb-ft of torque.

We won't have to wait too long to see what Squadra Corse has been cooking up, as Lamborghini promises the new track car will be "racing your way soon."
