Someone Just Bought This Crushed Lamborghini Aventador SVJ

There's an unfortunate reality when it comes to cars of all types,especially exotic supercars: crashes and fires. Just because one has a lot of money does not by any means indicate their level (or lack thereof) of driving skills. This leads to some very disturbing incidents, such as this extremely rare and now crushedLamborghini Aventador SVJ Roadster.

Last month, we reported about this一个ventador's untimely deathwhich, ironically enough, had nothing to do with its driver or their skills behind the wheel. Instead, the Lamborghini was a victim of being at the wrong place at the wrong time. A truck lost control after suffering brake loss on a sloping road in Beverly Hills, California. To make matters worse, the truck was carrying over 15,000 pounds worth of cargo.

一个nd then it happened: the out-of-control truck slammed into the home of an unknown professional athlete. Parked outside (in the direct path of the truck) were a Mercedes-Maybach, a Bentley, and this Aventador. The latter two suffered immense damage, as you can see by these photos. Chances are very high both expensive cars were declared totaled.

Very recently, that very same Lamborghini appeared for sale onCopartand someone actually bought it. The final amount was not disclosed but the salvage auction site lists its original value at nearly $900,000. We're honestly not so sure what can be done to salvage it as nearly every major body panel, component, and even the naturally aspirated 6.5-liter V12 took a serious crushing. Using what's left for spare parts may not be an option.
