Saleen演出公司而言,需要的是李ttle introduction with its spectacular sports cars and its tuning offerings for products like theFord Mustang. Don't forget about themonstrous S7 supercareither. Now it has announced that it is taking steps to venture into its next chapter which includes an electric supercar along with other enthusiast-driven creations.

To achieve its goals, the company is asking for investors that are willing to aid in bankrolling operations. In an attempt to raise $30 million, the company is selling $21 million worth of stock while its current shareholders - presumably itsChinese affiliates- are looking to sell common stock to the public, asking for a $9 million sum. Saleen confirms that there is no minimum offering dollar amount.

The company states that it has the intention of using the net proceeds to develop key products such as a new Saleen Bronco, Saleen 1, and an unnamed electric vehicle. We've already had a pretty good look atthe tuner's Broncowhich was shown to us just over six months ago as a tribute to "Big Oly" of Mexican 1000 fame.

Saleen is yet to give revealing details regarding this project but the series of renders showed us that it would be leaning hard into the off-road racing direction with a conclusive suspension upgrade, plenty of KC spotlights, chunky all-terrain tires, and a significant rework to the body. Given that it is being designed by Saleen, we can also expect this to be provided with a hefty bump in power.

The Saleen 1, sometimes referred to as the S1, is a product the company has been trying to get off the ground since it was shown to usat the 2017 LA Auto Show. It is scheduled to be the next car fully developed by the brand since the acclaimed S7 but it would take a bit of a different route with this adopting a smaller powertrain and a more track-focused chassis.

The real mystery here is the plan to introduce an electric vehicle. This wouldn't be the first time that the company has dabbled in electrification, as fans of the brand may recallthe FourSixteen, later badged as the GTX, which was unveiled at Pebble Beach in 2014. This took the Tesla Model S P85 trim and juiced up the power to 691 horsepower. Time will tell whether Saleen intends to follow this up or create an entirely new EV product.
