Rolls-Royce Spectre EV Gets Brand-New Color Inspired By Rare Gemstone

The custom hue is a mix of wine colors.

The craftspeople in Goodwood have unveiled a new color that they have created for theRolls-Royce SpectreEV, called Morganite. Gunmetal contrasts the two-tone finish, but we all know what that is. Morganite though?

Rolls-Royce describes it as "a color between mauve and dark rose," which is rather curious becauseWikipedia describes morganiteas an "orange or pink variety of beryl and is also a gemstone." That means Rolls-Royce chose to name the new color this way to call to mind jewelry rather than to describe its appearance on the light spectrum, but either way, there's a new color inthe Rolls-Royce Bespoke portfolio.

Inside the electric luxury craft, the Spectre's unique Canadel doors are premiered, with "an interior panel crafted from a single sheet of wood, precisely placed at an exact 55-degree angle." This is done to "evoke a sense of motion within the car." Annoyingly, Rolls-Royce has not provided any photos of the cabin, where Grace White leather is accented by Ardent Red highlights. The automaker tells us there are also delicate Peony Pink accents on the RR monograms, upholstery piping, and instrument panel stitching. The trim accents are, naturally, wood, this time Open Pore Tudor Oak veneer.

Rolls-Royce did not disclose if this car was made specifically for a particular customer or if it was simply to show off its expertise, but we're sure more stunning Bespoke creations will roll out of Goodwood as the Spectre gets closer to completingits extensive testing program.

The new model was presented at the Shanghai Auto Show, where the automaker announced 'Private Office Shanghai,' expanding its global retail presence. Just one vehicle would not do, so the Spectre was joined by a Submariner Blue and Silver Phantom Extended with a年代pirit of Ecstasy ornamentin Rose Gold. The cabin features Submariner Blue leather in front, Rose Gold contrast stitching, and blue Piano Milori Sapphire Veneer. The rear gets Cashmere Grey and Rose Gold accents and Starlight Headliner in blue.

Also featured were a Black Badge Cullinan in Iced Burnout Grey with a Peony Pink and Scivaro Grey interior and aGhostin Olivin with a Black and Seashell cabin, both of which were completed by the Bespoke department too.

In a country with as many millionaires as China, expanding the Rolls-Royce brand just makes sense -not that the company is struggling with demand.
