Revealed: Pagani Huayra Officially Debuted Online

It's official this time. Just a few days after some leaked photos scanned from a magazine made their way online, Pagani has officially revealed pictures of its all-new V12 Zonda replacement, the Huayra. Without a doubt, the Huayra retains the Zonda's styling characteristics throughout. It's undeniably a Pagani. While we dig the gullwing doors and the overall silhouette, the front-end design, specifically the front fascia, does bring to mind a catfish, albeit with LEDs.

Perhaps it just needs to grow on me some. The rear end is also undeniably Pagani with the quad exhaust located just above the license plate. Pagani also added a bit more style this time as is evident by the more sweeping character lines. Regardless, the carbon fiber-rich Huayra packs the wrath of the Mercedes-Benz AMG-made 6.0-liter twin-turbo V12 with over 700 hp and 740 lb-ft of torque. Top speed is close to, I kid you not, 230 mph.

Power is distributed through a seven-speed dual-clutch gearbox, with total dry weight coming in just under 3,000 lbs. The interior is equally striking with beautiful leather seats and plenty of exposed aluminum and more carbon fiber. Gauges have a high-tech glowing blue aura and there's a multi-function display that handles audio, navigation, and all other communication needs. Pricing hasn't been officially announced, but expect it to start just a little less than the amount of the US deficit. An official stage debut is set for the Geneva Motor Show in March.
