Ram Trucks Lead Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade

The Macy's Day Thanksgiving Parade is one of the largest parades in the world. It's put on by Macy's in New York every year, although it was started in 1924 by Bamberger's in New Jersey. As it enters its 93rd year, it's tied as the second-oldest regular parade in America. Through its three hour duration, a plethora of floats and displays roll through Manhattan containing everything from bands to live zoo animals. Ram is partnering in the parade for the fifth year running to supply 65Ram trucksandProMaster vansto both pull floats and help in the logistics of pulling off such a mammoth event.

"This is truly a cultural moment, and in this season of thanks, we are honored to be just a small part of the magic that happens as our full portfolio of award-winning trucks pulls these floats down the streets of Manhattan," said Reid Bigland, Head of Ram Brand.

Of the 65 vehicles supplied, 20 Ram trucks will be pulling floats and, for the first time, four Ram trucks will be fully wrapped to complement their float designs. Those trucks will be hauling the Harvest in the Valley by Green Giant float, the Splashing Safari Adventure float by Kalahari Resorts and Conventions, Mount Rushmore's American Pride float by South Dakota Department of Tourism, as well as the star of the parade: Santa's Sleigh.
