Ram 1500 TRX Gets Extreme Makeover With Luxury Interior

Special Editions /10 Comments

我nside and out, this supertruck is loud.

The creator of wild interiors,Carlex Designhas given the2023 Ram TRXan extreme makeover, both inside and out. Featuring off-road oriented aesthetic and functional changes for Ram's super truck, it's the perfect package for those with deep pockets and who feel the TRX isn't flashy enough on its own.

我f the design of this truck looks a bit familiar, it's because this model is based on the1500 TRX Havoc Editionthat Ram released last year. A very well-optioned vehicle, it came with the all-new Baja Yellow paint seen here and tons of equipment like a 19-speaker sound system, dual-pane sunroof, black painted 18-inch bead-lock capable wheels, and much more.

The secret behind the special edition is Line-X, and the exterior of this truck uses a ton of the protective coating. The spray-on bedliner now adorns the bumpers, fender flares, custom rock rails, engine cover, mirror caps, air intake, and parts of the roof rack. We imagine any color can be chosen if yellow isn't really your thing.

You also get these wild "Extreme" and "Pickup Design" graphics that look cool if not a bit juvenile, painted calipers, and 18-inch Pickup Design wheels.

The interior takes the formula to a whole new level entirely. It's bathed in yellow leather and black Alcantara as Carlex shows off where its real expertise lies. All bespoke, it features new leather and Alcantara seats along with a leather-finished dashboard, armrests, steering wheel, and gear shift. Alcantara headliner sits above you and more Extreme logos can be found sprinkled about.

We're unsure if there is any numbered badging to denote the model, but each one will come with a certificate of authenticity saying that it's a true Carlex Design vehicle. The company appears to be starting a line of extreme truck conversions, as this package very closely mirrors one the company unveiled recentlyfor the Ford Ranger Raptor.

我s it better than the 1500 TRX Havoc Edition? You decide, but with this package coming in at a whopping 169,900 euros ($182,651 at current exchange rates) we really aren't sure it's worth it given the price and the fact you're messing with a guaranteed future classic. The TRX is joining its dinosaur brethren at the end of this year asRam ends production. We're never going to get a production pickup truck like it ever again, so maybe reconsider messing with its winning formula.
