Ram 1500 Black Express is a Murdered-Out Must-Have

Trucks /66 Comments

The popular Ram 1500 is now one bad-looking truck.

Countering Ford's recently revealed F-150 Tremor, Chrysler has introduced another Express model variant it has dubbed the 2013 Ram Black Express for obvious reasons. From the 20-inch rims and bumpers to the front clip, grille and hood badges, the car has been well and truly blacked-out, with only the wheel caps and twin exhaust tips maintaining their metallic sheen. The Black Edition also gets bi-function halogen projector-beam headlamps with LED DRLs and red LED taillights as standard. And that's about it.

The rest of the truck is standard Express fare, available in regular cab, quad cab or crew cab body, with a choice of rear- and four-wheel-drive. Under the hood, the 5.7-liter HEMI V8 is the sole powertrain option, rated at 395 hp and 410 lb-ft of torque. The Ram 1500 Black Express will go on sale this month priced from $26,955 – just $1,105 more than the base Express 4x2 cab.
