Presenting The All-Electric 2022 Kia EV6

The language is based on five design pillars: Bold for nature, Joy for reason, Power to progress, Technology for life, and Tension for serenity. Up front, the daytime running lights have a sleek look to form the new "Digital Tiger Face." The headlights have a distinctive light pattern and, beneath them, a wide air intake stretching from side to side.

The side profile is crossover-inspired, according to Kia, with a swept-back windshield and bold rear haunches. A character line runs the length of the vehicle beneath the doors and angles upwards towards the rear wheel arches. A sloping C-pillar with an integrated black insert helps visually widen the rear glass. Other notable design elements include a roof spoiler, a raised rear spoiler, and a unique taillight cluster.

Inside, the driver's instrument cluster and curved infotainment screen are planted on top of the dashboard. Beneath the screen are the HVAC controls that use haptic buttons. A two-spoke steering wheel prominently features Kia's new logo and the seats are made of recycled materials. For now, Kia has released only a few EV6 images and a brief video. Official details regarding output, charging times, range, and all other technical details will come later this month.

We highly suspect the specs will nearly match those of the Ioniq 5. That means single- and dual-motors options, and rear- and all-wheel-drive good for 215 horsepower or 302 hp, respectively. A 58-kWh battery should be standard and a longer-range 77.4-kWh unit costs extra. Pricing information and an on-sale date were also not provided.
