Pagani Caught Testing A Very Special Huayra

And we may now know the name of Pagani's new limited-edition Huayra.

Earlier this year, photos of a mysteriouscamouflaged Pagani Huayra prototype spotted on the public roademerged online, suggesting that the Italian automaker is busy cooking up a new Huyara that'seven more extreme than the brutal BC. Fast forward a few months later and the first video footage of that hardcore Pagani Huyara being put through its paces at the Franciacorta Circuit in Italy has been posted online by YouTube channel 19Bozzy92. To state the obvious, this new Huayra looks like an absolute beast.

The hardcore Huayra manages to hit some serious speed on the straights and appears to be glued to the track, with no body roll whatsoever. As an added bonus, we may also now know the name of this limited-edition Huayra.

According to the video description, the hardcore Huayra is called the Pagani Huayra Dragon. Apparently, it was originally commissioned by the owner of the tuning company TopCar Design as a one-off example, but now Pagani is planning to produce a limited run of five cars, which will likely have different names.

While the supercar is still covered in thick layers of camouflage, it's clear that the aerodynamics are significantly more aggressive than standard Huayras. There's a massive diffuser at the back, a giant fixed wing that extends into the roof through a large fin, and new front air intakes. While the aggressive aero should make the new Huayra insanely fun to hone on the track, it's also expected to be road legal.

As for the powertrain, we're expecting the twin-turbo AMG V12, which you can hear growling in the video, to produce more than 745 horsepower and 811 lb-ft of torque to position it above the already-hardcore Huayra BC. Power is expected to be sent to the rear wheels through a seven-speed single-clutch automatic transmission. Hopefully, we won't have to wait too long for Pagani's new hardcore Huayra to break cover.
