It's for a good cause.

Chevroletbuilds a monsterfor enthusiasts looking to absolutely destroy a drag strip in the form of the COPO Camaro. Chevrolet only plans to build 69 examples of the 2016 COPO Camaro, which makes it a highly sought after beast. If you're serious about drag racing and would like to help out a good cause, then Barrett-Jackson's event in Scottsdale, AZ, is the place to be. The first COPO Camaro will be auctioned off with the winning bid benefiting the United Way charity group.

Chevrolet revealed the 2016 COPO Camaro at last year's SEMA show. The automaker teamed up with drag racer Courtney Force to help design the first model, which makes it even more special. The drag racing muscle car has custom graphics, red accents in the grille and a bright red exterior. Under the hood lies a 5.7-liter V8 with a Whipple 2.9-liter supercharger. The interior features a chrome-moly roll cage and lightweight racing bucket seats with the COPO logo and Courtney Force's signature. There's also a floor-mounted shifter for the THM-350 automatic transmission. Just like previous years, the new COPO Camaro is engineered to be used in NHRA's Stock and Super Stock Eliminator classes.
