One-Off Plymouth Barracuda Four-Door Is A Muscle Car Unicorn

Aside from the modern-dayDodge Charger(and therecently revealed Chrysler 300C limited edition), the four-door muscle car is somewhat of a rarity. Perhaps things would have been different if Plymouth forged ahead with its plans for a Barracuda sedan. Seen below is the world's only four-door Barracuda, a custom build inspired by an idea fromthe now-defunct company.

This automotive delight was crafted by the late Dave Walden, who was greatly admired in the restoration community. Inspired by the original thought, Walden set about designing what a '70 E-body would look like as a sedan. Most of the all-steel bodywork was hand-fabricated, creating a unique roof line for the new door design. The finished product, I'm sure you'd agree, looks incredible and drew plenty of attention at the 2016 SEMA show.

A stickler for detail, Walden painted his creation in FE5 Rallye Red, which contrasts nicely with the black vinyl roof. The vehicle sits on chromed five-spoke wheels, themselves shod in redline tires. The wheel arches wear a subtle chrome lip molding and, at the rear, you'll find the Barracuda badging. The cherry on top has got to be the imitation MSRP window sticker, which resembles a '70s document from the Chrysler Corporation.

Inside, you'll find a black interior, replete with bench seating and a center armrest for front passengers. It's a period-correct custom car and boasts amenities you'd expect from a car of this period. As such, there's an AM radio, rear courtesy lights, and an adjustable steering wheel. The VIN is entirely legal, meaning you could drive this one-off on the roads with ease.
