Nissan's four Hyper concepts are currently shown on a digital 3D billboard in Shinjuku.

Nissan has revealed the Hyper Punk Concept, completing the automaker's series of Hyper concepts unveiled this month. It joins theHyper Adventureoff-roader, theHyper Urbancity sleeker, and theHyper Toureroutlandish people-hauler in representing Nissan's vision of the future at the 2023 Japan Mobility Show.

According to Nissan, the crossover concept is "tailored for content creators, influencers, artists, and those who embrace style and innovation." In other words, the Hyper Punk Concept represents self-expression in the digital age.

Nissan has gone wild in designing the high-riding coupe crossover, showering the concept with bold lines, sharp angles, and unconventional styling such as those massive wheel arches and triangle LEDs on each wheel. There are multifaceted and polygonal surfaces, and the silver paint shifts tones depending on the viewing angle and light source.

With that hyper-expressive exterior, Nissan has expectedly gone all out in interior design, with a plethora of lines, shapes, and angles found all over the greenhouse. The complex origami-style cabin features a distinct division between the passenger and driver sides, marked by a white and red colorway, respectively. The steering wheel is a rectangular yoke, while the infotainment interface seamlessly integrates into the digital instrument cluster.

The Hyper Punk is not just about aesthetics; it's also packed with next-gen connectivity features, including vehicle-to-everything (V2X) technology. The vehicle can generatemanga-style scenery or graphic patterns based on external conditions, adding a layer of immersion to the driving experience. The tri-screen cockpit, connected services, and mood detection further elevate the in-car experience.

We're unsure if Nissan will make a production version of the Hyper Punk Concept as a follow-up to theAriyacrossover. But if we're to analyze, its massive 23-inch wheels, short overhangs, and high-riding nature should be perfect even beyond the pavement. Then again, as with most concepts, this could be just for show, giving us a taste of what Nissan can do in the digital age where influencers and content creators matter.

Apart from their appearances at this year's Japan Mobility Show, these radical concepts are featured in a digital 3D billboard in the Shinjuku district of Tokyo.

They will be available in the Fortnite online game under the name "Electrify the World" on October 25, 2023, just in time for the opening of the auto show formerly known as the Tokyo Motor Show.
