Pirelli has unveiled a third new tire that it says will be a "champion of performance and sustainability." It's called the Pirelli P Zero E, made from 55% natural and recycled materials. Even so, Pirelli claims superior driving dynamics, making it the ideal tire for an eco-conscious driver that doesn't want to sacrifice ultimate performance.

The P Zero E was unveiled at the Goodwood Festival of Speed, where Pirelli is the exclusive tire partner. The P Zero E is being displayed alongside the new supercar-ready P Zero R and hypercar-focusedP Zero Trofeo RS.

The whole lineup of P Zero tires has been a dominating force in the tire industry for nearly 40 years, and it appears the company wants that domination to continue for decades to come. The P Zero E also puts Pirelli in an enviable position, withEuro 7 regulations targeting tires specifically.

The Bureau Veritas, a world leader in verifying conformity and certification in quality, environment, health, safety, and social responsibility, has certified the tires with 55% natural and recycled materials. In addition to this, after studying the tires' life, Pirelli found a 24% reduction in CO2emissions compared to the previous generation tires, also verified by Bureau Veritas.

Pirelli is far from the only tire manufacturerattempting to make more sustainable rubber, but its efforts in these new tires appear to be taking another vital step forward. These achievements will lead to even greater percentages of recycled and natural materials, with all of these tires denoted by the Elect marking on the sidewall.

On top of being kinder to the environment, they wouldn't be P Zeros without the performance, and in this area, they still excel. The tires have received the highest A rating in all parameters from the European tire label in all sizes, including rolling resistance, wet braking, and noise.

These performance achievements will allow vehicles to be more efficient and quieter while ensuring durability isn't impacted, making them perfect for EVs like the upcoming Chevy Equinox orFiat 500e.

Unfortunately, sometimes your tire's life isn't related to durability but to real-world incidents. Luckily, these tires have one more trick up their sleeves: Pirelli's new RunForward Technology. Making its debut on the P Zero E, the system uses reinforced panels on the inside and outside sidewalls to support the tire's structure at speeds up to 50 mph (80 kph) for up to 25 miles (40 km.)

该公司一直making specialized rubber for EVsfor a while now, but these new tires' environmental and performance enhancements are sure to make their offerings even better. The tires will enter the range this September and will be available in 17 sizes.
