New Baby Lamborghini Spied For The Very First Time

TheCarBuzzpaparazzi has snapped images of the upcomingLamborghini Huracanreplacement for the first time, and it's nice to see the Italian brand having a sense of humor about it. The prototype is still heavily disguised, but Lamborghini knows that we know what it is. That much is clear from the Revuelto-inspired taillight stickers on the rear and the Gallardo headlight stickers on the front. It's basically the car saying, "Yep, I'm the next baby Lambo."

While we can't comment much on the design, one thing is clear. As Lamborghini said, it's done building combustion-only cars. All new models will use some kind of electric assistance. The new baby Lambo definitely has a battery pack on board because it has more high-voltage warning stickers on it than a power station.

It also appears to be a plug-in hybrid like its bigger brother. We only caught images of one side of the car, but the right-hand-side filler cap has a warning sticker, indicating a charge port.

Even without the comedy stickers, we instantly knew this was the Huracan successor. When viewed from the side, there's no mistaking that wedge shape that has been a design trademark since the Gallardo debuted in the early noughties. The shut lines of the door also suggest that, like its predecessors, it will have regular doors and not the O-T-T kind limited to halo Lambos.

At the rear, you'll also note a new vertical window, prominent buttresses, and a flat surface where you'd typically find a clear view of the engine. That leads us to believe this may be drop-top, which points to two versions of the model being developed side-by-side.
