Mercedes-Benz SL65 AMG by Brabus

Brabus is calling its latest creation, based on the Mercedes-Benz SL65 AMG, the world's most powerful roadster. Dubbed the Brabus 800 Roadster, the German convertible's 6.0-liter V12 has been tweaked to deliver 788 horsepower and 1,047 pound-feet of torque (limited to 811 lb-ft to save the drivetrain), up from 621 hp and 738 lb-ft. It'll sprint from 0-62 mph in 3.7 seconds, from 0-124 mph in 9.8 seconds and top out at 217 mph, putting it squarely in supercar territory.

All that latent power was released after Brabus fitted its own twin-turbo system, complete with high-performance manifolds with integrated turbine housings and turbochargers, a remapped ECU, and the addition of four water-to-air intercoolers housed in the custom carbon-fiber hood scoop. Brabus also developed a sound-adjustable stainless-steel exhaust with free-flow metal catalysts and ceramic-coated tailpipes. Power is sent to new 20-inch Monoblock R "Platinum Edition" forged alloys via AMG's Speedshift Plus 7G-tronic transmission, shifted via Brabus' steering wheel-mounted aluminum paddles.
