Mercedes-Benz GL-Class

The GL-Class is the first full-sized SUV that Mercedes-Benz has produced (not counting the G-Class). It comes in 4-wheel drive only and has a nice choice of engines: a 3.0 liter, 210 horsepower turbo diesel V6, a 4.7 liter V8 with 355 horsepower, or a 5.5 liter V8 with 382 horsepower. A 7-speed automatic transmission is standard.SUV can seat up to 7 passengersin three rows of seating. Inside, you'll find all of the luxurious bits and pieces that Mercedes has to offer.

The GL interior is covered in soft grain leather, brushed aluminum, and real wood trim touches throughout. Some cool technical features include a rear-seat DVD system, heated seats for all passengers, and an optional off-road package. Carrying a base price of $60,000 puts the GL-Class in direct competition with the BMW X5 and Audi Q7.
