And they say crime doesn't pay.

London crime lord Alexander Surin once had such an extensive collection of exotic supercars, he was once referred to as 'Don Car-Leone.' Now a fugitive living in Dubai, the criminal kingpin had a number of cars seized that he admitted were bought with the proceeds of crime. Four of these will be sold at the Bonhams auction at the Goodwood Festival of Speed next week. The million-dollar foursome includes a Rolls-Royce Phantom, which had £800,000 of cash in the boot when it was seized, and three Ferraris: an Enzo, 599 GTB and California.

Surin is accused of acquiring assets via money laundering, mortgage fraud, tax evasion and the importation into Europe and the UK of thousands of kilos of ketamine. As well as handing over supercars, the gangster gave up various properties as well as cash totaling £4.5 million. Proceeds from the sale of the auction will go to the public purse.
