Kia has released the "30th Edition" Sportage trim alongside the release of the model's 2024 update; the downside is that, for now, it's only available in Kia's home market of South Korea. This more stylish and better-equipped version celebrates the model's three-decades-long production run.

The 30th Edition trim stands out as it sports a quieter cabin thanks to the addition of double-glazed windows. The interior's wow factor was also improved with its exclusive new green and black two-tone colored design. The upholstery on this special version was designed with a new look that now features suede inserts, a quilted pattern, and a set of 30th Edition headrest logos.

The 30th Edition also gets updates that have been applied to the entire 2024 model lineup, notably in the safety department. Specifically, the side airbags, previously available to higher-spec trims are now standard across the lineup. However, in the US,where the Sportage is a top seller, side airbags are already standard across the range.

Outside, theKia Sportagesports unique exterior parts. These include a new pair of roof racks, side mirror covers, a grille, a door garnish, and front and rear bumpers extensions, all clad in a glossy black finish. It then rides on a set of 18- or 19-inch wheels.

The Sportage initially came out three decades ago, in 1993. In its current form, the Korean crossover is now in its fifth generation, the long-wheelbase version of which was released for the US market back in 2022.

Later in 2022, the Seoul-based company rolled out theSportage Hybridfor the 2023 model year. It is powered by a 1.6-liter four-cylinder engine producing 177 horsepower paired with a 66.9-kilowatt electric motor. It gets an all-electric range of 32 miles, and itsX-Pro versionscan perform some light offroading.

While not available for the US, we wouldn't be surprised to see Kia offer a celebratory edition locally.
