Jeep Patriot - Living Up to the Jeep Heritage

The 2010Jeep Patriothas received plenty of praise and definitely lives up to its Jeep heritage as a genuine off-road vehicle. The Patriot is one of the least expensive vehicles in its class and achieves better fuel economy than any of its non-hybrid competitors. The Patriot is also the cheapest off-road SUV on the market. With that said, the Patriot simply can't match the smoother rides, higher quality interiors or better rear seat comfort of its competitors.

The Patriot comes in two trims: the base Sport and the Limited; both of which are available in front or four wheel drive. It also gets an optional five speed manual for the optional 2.0-liter four cylinder engine. The Patriot is admirable for its off-road and on the highway performance. The Patriot is equipped with a 2.5-liter four cylinder that puts out 172 horsepower, while a 2.0-liter is available on the 2WD models makes 158 horsepower. A five speed manual is standard, and it's highly recommended over the optional continuously variable transmission.
