Infiniti Unveils New App Packed With Convenient Features

Whether you're sitting in your car or not, there's a lot you can do with it.

If you want a comfortable and premium vehicle and aren't too bothered about whether there is a German badge on the nose or not, you could do worse than consider an Infiniti. The marque'snewly updated lineupprovides restrained luxury all the way from the QX50 to the towering QX80.

Where Infiniti has lacked in the past has been its integration of the latest technologies. Even the latestQX55comes with the dual-screen InTouch infotainment system that simply isn't a joy to use. Hopefully, the brand's all-new MyInfiniti App provides a more user-friendly experience.

Infiniti says that the new app will "consolidate all parts of the Infiniti owner experience."

The new MyInfiniti App comes with many useful features. Customers can easily schedule a service at the retailer of their choice, access service desk live chats, and have the ability to learn more about the vehicle's features via the app itself. If there is a recall, notifications will be sent to the customer via the app. Plus, customers can also view their Infiniti's service history.

"Along with Infiniti Premium Care, the MyInfiniti app further delivers on our promise to offer first class customer and ownership experience".

The app also comes with an active Infiniti InTouch Services Premium package subscription. With this, owners can remotely do everything from starting or switching off the car, locking the doors, view the location of the car, and keep track of vitals like tire pressure, oil pressure, and the brakes.

The new MyInfiniti App is not the brand's first tech update in recent months. Earlier this year, the Infiniti introduced a newvirtual key that replaces a traditional foband can replicate many of the same functions introduced in the latest app. This clever feature allows you to access more than one Infiniti vehicle via your phone if you own more than one model.

The new app and virtual key join theaddition of wireless Apple CarPlaylast year. These improvements all make Infiniti's latest products more competitive, and the last upgrade we'd like to see is the elimination of the dual-screen touch interface for those models that still have it. In the latest QX60, there is a single 12.3-inch touchscreen that is far more user-friendly, if not as perfect as ourfavorite interfaces on the market.

The new MyInfiniti App is available for download via both the Apple App and Google Play Stores.
