How To Be A Badass Truck Guy? With These 3 Chevrolet Silverado Concepts

Reveal /3.4 Comments

Because SEMA. Because Vegas.

Chevrolet has wasted no time revealing its Silverado concept lineup for this year's SEMA Show in Las Vegas. Now, as is typically the case, none of these have immediate production plans, or none that we know of, but future special editions could arrive in showrooms at some point. First up is the Silverado Special Ops, a rescue vehicle inspired by – you guessed it – special operations forces. Based on the Silverado 1500 Z71, the Razzle Dazzle camo painted concept blends components from Chevy's Accessories catalogue.

These include a bed-mounted sport bar with LED lights, off-road tires, wheel flares, custom rocker guards, and a bed-mounted GearOn utility rack storage. Note the six-inch LED light strips across the top of the body-color grille. The interior is decked out with a bright Ejector Orange cues on the door pulls and glove box handle along with waterproof trimmed seats and floor liners. Next up is the Bone Collector concept, based on the Silverado 1500 High Country. Wearing larger off-road tires mounted on 22-inch black aluminum wheels, it features Chevy's new off-road package that includes a front push bar, assist steps and sport bar. An LED off-road light bar is mounted to the sport bar for improved nighttime illumination.

The bed comes with a drawer system for secure stowage. There's even a cooler mounted behind the cab. Lastly there's the Silverado 3500HD Kick Rock Concept. Chevy says it celebrates freedom because it's inspired by Kid Rock's hit song "Born Free." Get it? Great. Kid Rock helped come up with the truck's styling, which features Sky Cool Gray leather-appointed seats featuring metallic-appearing inserts patterned after acid-wash jeans. A blacked-out instrument panel, Made in Detroit logo sill plates and glovebox emblem and a Kicker sound system. A pair of Gibbs Sports Quadskis, which convert from all-terrain vehicles to personal watercrafts, round out the package. All three Silverados are on display starting today in Vegas.
