How Did Roush Make This Mustang Crank Out 850 HP?

Tuning /47 Comments

We probably won't know 'til SEMA.

American automotive tuner Roush Performance has just revealed a super powerful Ford Mustang that is set to make its debut at SEMA 2015. The special Mustang has been fully kitted out with Roush's "TrakPak" that enables it to produce a monstrous 850 hp from its 5.0 liter V8 engine. Although Roush is thus far tight-lipped on how this was achieved, we speculate that the installation of a larger aftermarket supercharger as well as a 75mm supercharger pulley and upgraded fuel injectors had something to do with it.

In addition to the performance upgrades, Roush treated the Mustang to some aggressive aerodynamic modifications such as a ridiculously a large rear wing, rear diffuser, side skirts and a mean- looking front splitter. Full details of the upgrades are expected this week when SEMA 2015 opens its doors.
