Guy Fieri's Collector Edition 427 Corvette

Special Editions /46 Comments

Food mogul and car nut Guy Fieri showcased his custom 427 Corvette at SEMA before putting it up for auction.

Based on the 427 Convertible, built to celebrate Corvette's 60th anniversary, this Collector Edition is a collaborative effort with spiky-haired celebrity chef Guy Fieri and was recently at the Chevy stand at the 2012 SEMA Show. The custom convertible gets a black paintjob with yellow stripes, a twist on the black-on-yellow paint scheme Fieri usually adopts as well as the livery championed by Corvette's racecars. Black cup alloys measuring 19 inches up front and 20 at the rear complement the look.

Embroidered seat headrests and fender badges plug the Guy Fieri Foundation. Chevy claims the special edition is the quickest, most capable open-top Vette ever. With the 427-cubic-inch (7.0-liter) LS7 from the Z06 under the hood, the 427 Collector Edition packs 505 horsepower and 470 pound-feet of torque for a 3.8-second 0-60 time and a top speed in excess of 190 miles per hour. Guy Fieri will auction off his Corvette 427 Convertible Collector Edition to benefit his Cooking With Kids Foundation.
