GM is doing the most to convince consumers to go the EV route. This week it launched an all-new online platform calledEV Livewhere customers can interact one-on-one with an EV specialist and learn more about electric vehicles.

This latest venture is part of GM's holistic approach to going electric, which includes all-new models like theHummer EVandSilverado EV, built on the next-generation Ultium platform. The second part of its electric campaign isaccessible EV charginginfrastructure, and the new education program is the final step.

这是一个大胆的举动,旨在为人们提供correct information regarding electrification. In our opinion, it's a necessary evil, as many commentators on this website still believe an EV needs to be charged from zero to 100% daily.

We quickly looked around the new website, and it's easy to navigate and loaded with EV ownership information. It has a live map showing 54,000 charging locations across the US and Canada and helpful details on charging an EV. It also shows you the various charging options at home, work, or on the road.

The niftiest feature is the Live Studio, where an EV expert will give you an EV Live Tour. The available times are primarily between 3 pm to 6 am, which means you don't have to do car shopping during work hours.

It's more or less thesame approach Lucid takes with EV education, but with more interaction between the customer and a brand representative.

"Addressing common misconceptions about EVs will accelerate widespread EV adoption. We saw a need for accessible, credible, and engaging sources of information to empower consumers to adopt EVs and appreciate their many benefits," said Hoss Hassani, GM vice president of EV Ecosystem. "With EV Live, we're making it easier to learn about the EV experience. Whether you're curious or skeptical, an experienced owner or brand new to EVs, the experts at EV Live are here to help."

EV Live will also be used to prepare GM dealers, employees, fleet and commercial customers, utilities, and third-party collaborators for the all-electric future.

"EV Live lets us meet people where they are and have a real conversation about electrification," said Hassani. "We're selling the EV experience rather than specific EVs."
