Ticking all the options on the large sedan really adds up.

As far as car configurators go, the luxury car ones are usually pretty fun to play with. Flagship models like theBMW 7 Series经常有大量的选择,更多的需求money than you can even comprehend. With the new 7 Series configurator up, we thought we'd check it out the outrageous side of available options for this famous luxury car.

Unsurprisingly, there are some hilariously expensive options for the brand's new gas and electric flagship. One of those is the giant 31-inch, 8K theater screen, which will run you a similarly massive amount of money.

Before we get too far into this, know that many trim levels and options are covered under our 7 Series debut, or they are simply too many to list here. This is more of a highlight reel. Things you have to have if you're buying a 7 Series. This brings us nicely back to the 8K Theater Screen.

It's not cheap, at $4,750, but it will allow you to watch or play just about anything via the car's 5G systems. Other notable interior options include $1,500 push-button door closers, and the Bowers & Wilkins Diamond surround sound system at $4,800. Yes, the system does in fact use real diamonds in the speakers.

It's also worth bringing up some of the exterior configurations you can run on your imaginary i7, 740i, or 760i. BMW offers a sort of blackout package in the form of the M Sport trim, which includes more M nods than are probably necessary on a large luxury sedan.

But what we're interested in are the colors, many of which are not cheap. A personal fav of ours is the Aventurin Red Metallic, which is actually a no-cost option. Of course, BMW's Frozen matte colors are available as well, which includes Pure Grey and Deep Grey, both of which will run you a hefty $5,000. Still, that's not as bad as some of the leather options, which even on a top-tier 760i xDrive model cost $5,450, while full Merino leather with cashmere inserts rings in at $6,300 and requires more than $25,000 of other options. By far the most expensive exterior option, however, are the two-tone paints at $12,000 apiece, limited to a Black Sapphire or Oxide Grey roof and non-compatible with the Frozen paint options and a few select colors.

We encourage you to go play around online for a bit. There's a whole lot of options that aren't named here that are worth checking out, and as long as you don't look at the front grille for too long, you'll have a good time. Just be warned, both the i7 and 760i can crest $160,000 with some ease.
