The cost of optional extras almost matches the starting price of the Audi Q8.

Much earlier than expected, Porsche haslifted the wraps off the new 2020 911 Carrera Cabrio, less than two months after theall-new 992-generation Carrera S and 4S coupes debuted in LA. As such, there weren't many surprises to report.

像政变es, Carrera 4 and 4S cabrios are powered by a twin-turbocharged 3.0-liter flat-six that sends 443 hp and 390 lb-ft of torque through a new eight-speed dual-clutch gearbox. 0-62 mph in the 911 Carrera S Cabrio takes just 3.7 seconds while its all-wheel-drive sibling will do the same sprint in 3.6 seconds.

The 2020 911 Carrera S Cabriolet starts at $127,350, while the pricing for the 4S Cabriolet begins at $134,650. But that's before you start exploring the extensive options list onPorsche's online configurator, which is where things can get a bit pricey. Show little restraint, and the price could shoot up to nearly $200,000.

The most expensive paint option, for example, costs $3,270, while fitting fancier wheels costs just over $2,500. Adding the most expensive interior color choice (Club Leather in Truffle Brown with Chalk contrast stitching) to the interior will set you back another $5,340. Carbon-ceramic brakes are also one of the most expensive optional extras at $8,970 – make that $9,860 if you want them finished in High Gloss Black.

Other performance-focused features include Porsche Dynamic Chassis Control for $3,170 and four-wheel steering, which costs $2,090, while a front axle lift will set you back an extra $2,770. If you have more cash to burn, you can also add a $5,380 Premium Package and a $5,460 Sport Package. In total, it's possible to spend nearly $65,000 on options alone. To put that in perspective, that'snearly as much as a base model Audi Q8.
