Ford Ranger Raptor Gets Ultra-Luxurious Interior From Carlex Design

The Polish interior specialists have covered every inch of the cabin with high-end leather and Alcantara.

If the regularFord Ranger Raptordoesn't impress, Carlex Design has enhanced the hardcore performance truck to appeal to discerning tastes.

ThePolish tuner and interior specialisthas changed several things, including the name. Referred to as the CRX T-Rex Pickup Design, this Ranger Raptor stands out with Line-X-coated bumpers (front and rear), wheel arches, side steps, side mirrors, and front grille. This coating presents almost like matte paint and should protect the various components from scratches and damage when venturing off-road.

Line-X is also applied to the Style Bar and can be found on the roof lamp covers and hood, too. The last two, however, can also be finished in a sporty carbon fiber look. Carlex does not mention pricing, but we assume the carbon treatment is more expensive than the regular X-Line finish.

The exterior also benefits from tinted front and rear light clusters, giving the Ranger Raptor a more sinister look. Aside from this, the CRX T-Rex Pickup Design also receives unique decals, further distinguishing it from a run-of-the-mill Raptor.

Perhaps the most significant exterior update is the new 18-inch wheels. Painted in black, these deep-dish five-spoke wheels certainly look the part. They're wrapped in chunky off-road tires. Behind the wheels are orange-painted brake calipers, which tie in nicely with the other orange accents.

Carlex does not mention performance upgrades, but that's hardly a problem. The Ranger Raptor's 3.0-liter twin-turbo V6 produces a healthy 405 horsepower and 430 lb-ft of torque.

Overall, it's a handsome-looking truck, but the real star of the show here is the interior, which has undergone a dramatic change. Carlex has transformed the cabin into a gathering place for Alcantara and the finest "Natural" leather upholstery.

Not satisfied withthe standard Performance seatsfound in the Raptor, Carlex has redesigned the front and rear pews to resemble racing bucket seats. They look fantastic, but perhaps the chosen color won't be to everyone's taste. Still, it's notthe worst interior ever.

The orange upholstery covers almost every inch of the Raptor's cockpit, including the armrests, steering wheel, and gear lever. Even the dashboard and door cards have been trimmed in orange hide. This is one truck where you'll struggle to find hard plastics.

The seats are a mix of leather and Alcantara. The grippy, suede-like material has also been applied to the headlining. Finally, Carlex has also painted the air vents for that added special touch. Each example of this limited edition truck comes with a Certificate of Authenticity.

As for price, the CRX T-Rex Pickup Design exterior and interior conversion weighs in at €99,900 (approx. $110,700), which is a lot of money. Hopefully, that includes the cost of the Raptor donor vehicle, too.
