Ford Broncos Dominate The Ultimate Off-Road Racing Event

And then there's the motorsport-spec Bronco, which just accomplished a podium-sweep at the 2022 King of Hammers extreme off-road race. It's insanity taken to another level. Almost a year to the day when the Bronco 4600 Ultra4 stock class was unveiled, Ford Performance has emerged victorious.

"With a commanding 1-2-3 finish at the King of the Hammers Ultra4 stock-class race, Bronco Brand and Ford Performance are proving that Built Wild capability, durability and innovative design are second to none," said Mark Rushbrook, Ford Performance Motorsports global director. "Our Bronco 4600 racers continue to elevate our motorsports heritage and further underscore how Bronco models can be tuned from the showroom floor to compete in the grueling ULTRA4 stock class series."

The event, one of the most grueling and off-road competitions in the world, took place at the King of Hammers in the Johnson Valley in Southern California.

Behind the wheel was a team of drivers consisting of first-place finishers Vaughn Gittin, Jr. and Loren Healey in the No. 2567 Bronco 4600, followed by brothers Brad and Roger Lovell in the No. 4621 Bronco (second place), and Bailey Cole and Jason Scherer in the No. 13 Bronco (third place). It's important to know that the Bronco 4600 racers are all built from factory stock Bronco two-door chassis and powered by the familiar 2.7-liter EcoBoost V6 and 10-speed automatic.
