Ferrari Movie's First Teaser Trailer Drops

Michael Mann's Ferrari movie is going to hit you right in the feels.

Days after an in-depth interview with the director gave us somehighly-anticipated insightinto the upcoming Enzo Ferrari movie, the first teaser trailer dropped. While the trailer starts with the signature sound of a Ferrari racer at full chat, it's pretty evident that Michael Mann has not made an action movie.

Ferrariwill be an intense character study, and Adam Driver is the perfect man for the job. Only one sentence is spoken throughout the trailer: "If you get into one of my cars, you get in to win." We expect nothing less from a movie based on Brock Yates' book,Enzo Ferrari - The Man and the Machine.

The book is widely regarded as the most accurate and unvarnished biography available, and it doesn't pull any punches.

The same will likely be true of the film, as we can see Ferrari (or Adam Driver) going through multiple emotions in a little over 60 seconds. We see joy, irritation, anger, and severe trauma as he tries to get over the death of his son, Dino. The film also doesn't shy away from his affair with Lina Lardi (played by Shailene Woodley) and the path Ferrari had to walk until he eventually accepted Piero Ferrari as his son.

Mann also touches on the difference between Ferrari, the man, and Ferrari, the myth. We all know the mythical businessman who stuck it to Ford and was always immaculately dressed and wearing his signature sunglasses. But Mann will also focus on the other Ferrari, a simple man who enjoyed breakfast with his kids and intimate moments with his wife Laura (Penelope Cruz).

As alluded to in the interview, the film will be pretty violent and won't shy away from showing the infamous Mille Miglia accident in great detail. We won't provide more detail than that for those who don't know the history and want to go into this movie blind. Just know that Ferrari loved racing more than anything else, which is whythe most expensive Prancing Horses everall have a race history.

The other detail we love is the setting. Certain parts of the races will almost certainly be CGI, but it's glorious to see classic Ferraris racing through the streets of Rome, mere feet away from spectators. It's impossible to replicate that experience today, even if you have aFerrari 296. The traffic in Rome is a nightmare, and the most you can hope for is 20 mph.

If you weren't amped about the movie before, you certainly will be after watching this trailer.
