Ducati Unleashes Lamborghini-Inspired Motorbike

Ducati's new cruiser gets even more exclusive.

Over the full course of its 57-year history, Lamborghini has never settled for "unexceptional," and yet theLamborghini SianFKP 37 is destined to go down as one of the finest, most special road cars the Italian supercar manufacturer has ever built. It's the company's first road-going hybrid, with a 48-volt hybrid system supplementing a 774-horsepower V12 for a total system output of 807 American horsepower, and just 82 examples are planned for production - 63 coupes and 19 roadsters - each priced at more than $3 million.

在其他r words, it's exactly the sort of car that's worthy of being honored with a special, limited-run motorbike. Enter the Ducati Diavel 1260 Lamborghini - an exclusive, Lamborghini Sian-inspired version of the standard Ducati Diavel 1260 S.

Born out of a collaboration between Ducati and Lamborghini, the Diavel 1260 Lamborghini has been extensively reworked from the regular 1260 S, featuring a bevy of completely redesigned details all rendered inprecious or lightweight materials.这些包括碳纤维消音器盖,岑tral tank cover, seat cover, spoiler, mudguards, dashboard cover, and headlight frame.

They also include carbon-fiber radiator covers and air intakes, which have both been designed expressly to recall the pieces found on the Lamborghini Sian. The lightweight forged wheels have not been rendered in carbon fiber, but they're strikingly similar in appearance to the wheels on the Sian. More similarities are found throughout the livery, with the same sharp Verde Gea paint on the bodywork and Oro (gold) Electrum applied to the frame, undertray, and forged rims.

"The Ducati Diavel inspired by the Lamborghini Sian celebrates our shared values," says Ducati's Centro Stile Director, Andrea Ferraresi. "We are both Italian, we are inherently sporty and our design always distinguishes our creations. The Diavel 1260 Lamborghini has been created by using the same design language that distinguishes the Sian FKP 37."

Just as the Sian is highly exclusive, with just a handful of examples set to be built, this new Lamborghini-inspired superbike will be built in numbers of just 630. That's ten times the number of Sian coupes that will ever exist, and ten times the last two digits of "1963" - the year Automobili Lamborghini was formed, if you were wondering where the Sian Coupe's production number comes from.

As far as performance goes, the Diavel 1260 Lamborghini is powered by a 1,262 cc V4 engine delivering 162 hp at a heady 9,500 rpm. That's paired to 95 lb-ft of torque. But with a dry weight of only 485 lbs, it has massive power to weight, and the 240 mm wide rear tire (9.4 inches) and fully-adjustable Ohlins suspension help put power down accordingly. No performance figures have been provided by Ducati, but it's fair to say it'll deliver hypercar-level performance. Helping contain all that, a number of electronic packages including Cornering ABS, traction control, Ducati Wheelie Control EVO (DWC), and Ducati Power Launch Evo make the Diavel 1260 Lamborghini one of the most technologically advanced bikes around.

The Diavel 1260 Lamborghini will be arriving in the US in January 2021 with a base MSRP of $31,995, a nearly $11,000 premium over the vase Diavel 1260.
