Drag Race Tuesdays: 1967 Dodge Dart GT vs. Dodge Charger SRT

One of the best drag races we have seen in awhile pits two Dodges against each other: the 60s Dart vs. the modern Charger SRT.

This is definitely one of the more interesting drag races we have seen of late. A classic American muscle car vs. its modern equivalent (we know, a bit of a stretch). The Dodge Dart was produced from 1960-1976 and this particular model hits right in between, when the model was at its peak in 1967. The Dodge Charger began in its sedan stage in 2006 and is still in production today. The Charger SRT comes off the lot already packing 425hp and 420lb-ft of toque.

The 6.1-liter engine seen in this 'obviously not stock' car is a pretty hairy adversary. This doesn't mean the 45-year old Dart is a slouch, also not running at stock. If you had to choose a Dodge, which one would finish first? Listen to the roar of engines as they break of the line and enjoy the quarter-mile action.
