Custom Mustangs Heading to SEMA

SEMA 2012 /31 Comments

Ford is bolstering its SEMA lineup with a variety of modified Mustangs.

Ford has big plans for the 2012 SEMA Show in Las Vegas with modified F-150, Fusion and Focus ST models, but the automaker wouldn't be content with leaving all the fun to modified versions of work-a-day cars. So it comes as little surprise that the Blue Oval automaker has revealed four versions of the Mustang just days before the show opens in doors in Las Vegas. The first three Mustangs heading to the show are based on the GT with its 5.0-liter V8, while the fourth starts off with the base 3.7-liter V6 model.

The red example is a joint effort between Autosport Dynamics, Mothers and RTR that packs 650 horsepower. It's joined by another example by DSO Eyewear with 750 ponies under the hood thanks to a Whipple twin-screw supercharger and intercooler. The third GT has been modified by Ringbrothers, which have supercharged the V8 and augmented the package with a carbon-fiber body kit, custom paint, upgraded suspension and bigger Baer brakes. Finally the Stitchcraft V6 model packs nitrous injection, a FlowMaster exhaust, carbon body kit and a customizer interior.
