The owner of this garish 1968 SEMA build thinks it's worth real money.

We love a good SEMA car, almost as much aswe love a good SEMA horror show. This probably wouldn't make our worst of SEMA list though despite the garish nature of the customization of what was, according to the eBay advert, a rust-free 1968 Cadillac DeVille Coupe in Arizona. Among its highlights are a "custom snow white with 2 silver pearls" paint job and "roof [that] is a one-off art piece done by Ryan Evans ofCounts Kustomsin Las Vegas." What really grabbed us, after our eyeballs had stopped complaining, was the asking price. The seller is looking for $44,900 for the car.

Reading down the listing, the 1968CadillacDeVille Coupe also has a custom air-ride suspension system, CPP brake discs, dual-tone 20-inch Lexani wheels, a dual exhaust system with 13-inch glass-packs, and LED headlights. Inside, the interior is fully custom in black with double stitch diamond red stitching and the black headliner has "Cadillac" embroidered in the rear just in case you forget what car you're driving. It would actually look pretty cool inside if it wasn't for the horrible cheap red plastic surround on the inside of the back window that looks like it was tacked in when the budget ran out.

There's also the requisite SEMA car sound system installed in the lowrider and, under the hood, the listing claims theCadillac 472is well serviced. That would be Cadillac's monstrous 7.7-liter V8 that we assume is still mated to the factory 3-speed automatic transmission. For the money the seller wants, that exhaust and engine combination had better sound amazing. The seller claims it will happily sit in traffic or drive cross-country and there's no reason to doubt it, we're just not sure we would pay $44,900 for the privilege of being judged for having such bad taste as we did so.
